Meet the Auditor General

YOU ARE INVITED TO ATTEND A CONVERSATION WITH ARNE VAN IERSEL, THE AUDITOR GENERAL OF BRITISH COLUMBIA

The work of the Auditor General is intended to promoted accountable and effective government in our province. Our communities in East Vancouver question how effective and accountable our government is, as we experience:

• Growing homelessness

• Increasing difficulties of First Nations, low income, and immigrant children in our schools

• Cancellation of programs that have served our community well for many years

• Breakdown in community cohesion and threat to social capital caused by government’s practices of tendering social services to the lowest bidder

• Lack of Quality Childcare and Early Childhood Development programs
