Young woman said she was fired when she refused boss's advances

The B.C. Human Rights Tribunal has awarded almost $12,000 to a 19-year-old former waitress at a Commercial Drive restaurant who claimed her employer sexually harassed her on the job, then fired her when she rejected his advances.
In a hearing before the tribunal in March, Guinnevere (Mary) Clarke, now 20, testified Michel Blais, her 55-year-old former boss at Frenchies Montreal Smoked Meats, made repeated sexual remarks to her during her two-month employment at the restaurant in the summer of 2005.
