C.R. AVERY
Whether performing to thousands at the Royal Albert Hall or the lucky few who made it inside the packed past capacity speakeasy, C.R. Avery is a unique, raw and dynamic performer. His genius lies in many genres - blues, hip-hop, spoken word and rock & roll. He is a one-man band, but one for this generation; with the rare ability to sing poetic verse while beatboxing simultaneously while pounding the piano and adding harmonica like a plot twist. His incredible live performances have been described as Bob Dylan in the body of Iggy Pop; colliding with Little Walter, the Beastie Boys and Allen Ginsberg. Every show is all or nothing and his fearless approach to all genres of music both on stage and in the studio proves the longevity of this talented, astonishing creator has so much more to come.

ADALINE
ADALINE has toured through Canada playing showcases at NXNE, The WCMAs, CMW, and Junofest and has shared the stage with Juno Award Winning artist, Divine Brown, Juno Nominees Eccodek and Kinnie Starr, Dan Mangan and Luke Doucet. Her music has been licensed to multiple television shows such as ABC's "Royal Pains", Fox's "Defying Gravity, GLOBAL's "The Best Years", CBC's "Heartland", CTV's "Degrassi” and CTV’s “Rookie Blue" all airing on television stations in Canada, Europe and the US. In December of 2009 her debut music video for her first single "Whiter/Straighter” reached #8 on the MuchMoreMusic Countdown.

EDO VAN BREEMEN
Edo Van Breemen (vocals/keyboards) grew up in Miami, Florida and Köln, Germany before relocating to British Columbia and meeting Bryan Davies (trumpet). The two formed Brasstronaut, initially as an ambient instrumental project that drew from Bryan’s classical and jazz trumpet training and Edo’s background producing electronic music and playing in dance-punk bands. Together, they developed a set of songs that would form their first release, the Old World Lies EP. The four-song recording garnered much attention from the media, including coverage from the likes of Exclaim!, www.pitchfork.com, The Mercury Prize Recommends, Toronto Star, National Public Radio (U.S.), and CBC Radio 3, as well as landing the song “Requiem for a Scene” in the No. 1 spot on the Hype Machine.

HILARY GRIST
Hilary Grist makes music that combines Norah Jones’ jazzy sophistication with the naïve pop whimsy of Regina Spektor, while dabbling in a variety of other styles like country, folk, cabaret, and orchestral. Hot off a recent Western Canadian tour and a sold out cd release show at the Cultch Theatre in Vancouver, Hilary Grist's new album Imaginings is on a musical roll. Her songs have been in high rotation and charted in the top 30 on campus radio stations from coast to coast and have also been featured on many CBC Radio programs including 'DNTO - Definitely Not The Opera'. Her music has also recently found legions of new listeners south of the border through the 'iTunes Indie Singer-Songwriter Spotlight Podcast' in the U.S.

CHRISTOPHER ARRUDA
Having spent his late teens and early twenties fronting popular funk-rock band “The Lady Esther” and the ambitious post-rock outfit “Open, parachute!”, the twenty-six year old artist has returned with a renewed sense of passion, drive and love for the music he creates. His performances are bold and varied. One moment a boistrous shout, the next a soft whisper, Christopher strives to connect with the audience through unbridled fervor and a captivating presence. Influenced by the likes of Thom Yorke, Sufjan Stevens, Rachel Yamagata and Sarah Slean, his sound strikes a chord somewhere between pop, rock and folk music but his only goal is to create inspiring soundscapes that are honest and true.

MONICA LEE
Monica Lee is a Vancouver-based singer-songwriter with a gypsy-soul voice, a poet’s lyricism, and a natural command of piano, guitar and viola. She has the kind of luminous stage presence that makes audiences of any size feel as if they are cherished guests at an intimate performance in her own living room. In her inspirational songs of love, pain and redemption, Monica cleverly mixes elements of roots, jazz, blues, country, indie rock and a hint of gypsy. The result: an eclectic fusion that feels both classic and excitingly new. Monica is renowned for delivering truly exhilarating live sets full of catchy melodies that resonate in listeners’ memories for days. Lee is expecting her second child in the new year...this will be her final performance before the birth. Lets hope she can reach the keys over her belly!
