Literary: Book Celebrates Britannia Secondary's 100 Years

Britannia secondary wasn't the first high school built in Vancouver, but it's the one with the most staying power.

This year, the East Side school that officially began in 1908 and found a permanent home two years later in Grandview--then one of the fastest growing suburbs of Vancouver--celebrates its 100th anniversary.

To mark that event, grads will gather May 16 and 17. When the socializing is over, they'll have a memoir of high school days gone by--a hardcover book commemorating the school's first century that's part of the reunion package.
