Owner lied about income from Commercial Drive pizzeria

Published: Saturday, August 04, 2007VANCOUVER - A Commercial Drive restaurant owner's application to reopen his divorce case has been dismissed after an earlier trial resulted in the man being ordered to pay his ex-wife about $1.2 million, plus $14,368 per month in child support.
In a judgment released Friday, the judge found that Marcello Lombardo, who owns Marcello Pizzeria, repeatedly lied and misled the court about his income -- he now admits the pizzeria had sales of $2 million last year.
