(there is no advance sign up but due to a limited amount of time and space if you could let me know if you are planning to perform then that would help out with organizing the night. And if you are not enhancing your performance by breaking any of our rules then you will kindly be asked not to read to make way for those who are embracing the theme of the evening.)

Leif Norman has been doing performance poetry for nearly ten years now, and he has just recently started to get good at it. He enjoys perusing his dictionary collection for new and subtle definitions for words such as; surreal, platitudinous, and diatribe to add literal fuel to his metaphorical fire. He is currently working on a 100 page book of research based poetry with the working title of "The Title of the Book dot com" which will be an investigation into diacritic symbols, phonetics, recipes where the only ingredient is bacon and an anthropological breakdown of Slam poetry
TONIGHT'S THE NIGHT THE SLAM RULES GET BROKEN
PERFORM IN A COSTUME, WITH PROPS, MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS, GROUP PIECES, IN THE NUDE, TELL A STORY, DO A COVER POEM, DO MORE THAN 1 POEM, PLAY A VIDEO POEM, DO A POEM MIXING POETRY AND BURLESQUE, USE SOCK PUPPETS, JUGGLE, STAND UP, CALL FROM THE OTHER SIDE OF THE WORLD AND DO YOUR POEM ON A CELL PHONE OR JUST COME UP WITH SOMETHING EXCITING AND WEIRD THE ONLY RULES ARE THERE IS A 5 MINUTE TIME LIMIT (IF YOU GO OVER YOU GET HONKED OFF THE STAGE)
