Call For Submissions: Spike and Mike's Sick & Twisted Festival

This is a "Call for Submissions" for Spike & Mike's Sick & Twisted Festival of Animation returning to the RIO THEATRE March 10-23rd with all new animated short films from all over the world and SPIKE is looking for YOUR animated short film to add to the show!!!

Lucky winners will be personally selected by SPIKE himself for inclusion in this year's SICK & TWISTED FESTIVAL OF ANIMATION: the SAME FEST that theatrically premiered BEA...VIS & BUTTHEAD, SOUTH PARK, and WALLACE & GROMIT as well as the first PIXAR animation shorts ever produced!!!

Local BC Talent is encouraged to enter, however all submissions will be considered! This is a great opportunity to get your animated short film seen on the big screen.

Maximum running time is 3 minutes (+ credits). Entries are encouraged to be "sick & twisted" however a good sense of humour (parody & satire) is a MUST!

Submission deadline is Friday Feb 25th (by Midnight). Submission fee is $10.

It’s been over ten years since Spike himself made the trip up to Vancouver. He WILL be present opening weekend to sign “everything” & introduce the show. The show will include a few of the all time classics plus a ton of premieres! Spike handpicked the films himself and invites everyone to watch 90 min of the sickest, most brilliant, artistic and funniest animation shorts he’s ever put together!

Midnight shows are BACK!! Spike & Mike are BACK!! From the people that theatrically premiered Beavis & Butthead, South Park, Wallace & Gromit as well as the first Pixar animation shorts ever produced!

Look out for our colorful flyers with Emek artwork around town! Watch for Spike… every day will be different crazy hat day! Vancouver is well represented by such titles as: “Yellow Sticky Notes”, “Stillwaters”, & “Odious Lepus”. Over 22 animated films including great titles such as the recently acquired masterpiece “Eleven Roses”, “Home Honey, I’m High”, “Fantaisie in Bubblewrap”, “Happy Tree Friends”, “Washington”, “Crab Revolution” “The Mosquito Who Gave Up Blood” & “Dr. Tran”!!
